Do you like the music documentaries? Enjoy the In Edit Festival from 24th October to 3rd November
Beefeater IN-EDIT Festival, at its 11th edition, is an international music documentary film festival celebrated in Barcelona and dedicated to all the music and film lovers around the world.
This will be a multi-screen edition, meaning that some films will be broadcasted online simultaneously to the Barcelona premiere, as part of the festival.
SOME OF THE FEATURED DOCUMENTARIES ON THE PROGRAM
Harry Dean Stanton: Partly Fiction
The most peculiar and silent actor in all Hollywood breaks our hearts by talking about his journey and performing some of his favorite melodies. Nocturnal confessions, fragility at point blank range, damage assessment and “Blue Moon” in a broken voice that will make the earth shiver.
The Sound of Belgium
Belgians “work hard and party harder.” A clubber travels through the contagious yet obscure Belgian club scene, from the 20’s barrel organ to the 90’s hardcore, passing through the 60’s popcorn and the 80’s newbeat on the road to world domination. A clubland all of its own making.
Nitsa 94/96: el giro electronic
“It all exploded from there”. The legendary Barcelonese club with the revolving dance floor, pioneer of electronica in Spain and cradle to DJ Sideral, explained with loving scratches (Jeff Mills, Angel Molina and more), founders and fans from its birth until the bombastic 90’s.
The Punk Singer
This is the definitive profile of Kathleen Hanna, frontwoman of Bikini Kill and Le Tigre. She lets us into her inner world for the first time: riot grrrl, family, fame, Kurt Cobain, Lyme disease and her return as Julie Ruin. An arduous odyssey; no concessions.
AKA Doc Pomus
All greatness comes from pain. The life of Doc Pomus, composer of numerous hits (for Elvis and others) in a beautiful blues of disability, solitude and perseverance. The full Hall of Fame sings his praises, from Lou Reed and Dion, to Phil Spector and Ben E. King.
